Research Mission
The research team at the Sustainable Planning & Innovation in Construction & Engineering (SPICE) lab is dedicated to tackling sustainability challenges in architecture, engineering, construction, and policymaking through innovative, data-driven solutions. Our interdisciplinary research spans cutting-edge advancements in Science, Technology, and Engineering, with a focus on practical and impactful applications. We aim to enhance the sustainability and resilience of the built environment by integrating advanced technologies such as AI, BIM, digital twin technologies, robotics, and smart city infrastructure. Our goal is to revolutionize the planning, design, construction, operation, and management of civil infrastructure systems to create a more sustainable and resilient future.
